Culturefest Conversion
Yet another birthday week surprise came in the delightful form of a competition win on one of my favourite podcasts, the Slate Culture Gabfest.
The hosts of this brilliant, irreverent, enviably eloquent podcast recently asked listeners to write in and share their evangelising stories of converting people to the Gabfest, and low and behold, my story won!
To listen, check out the latest "Shake your Bon-Bon" edition of the podcast, where my email is read out at approx 34:30. Now I get to be on the show to make an endorsement! Oh the pressure! Julia hopes I endorse some great piece of Australian culture, so...any suggestions? Of course film springs most readily to mind for me, but I'd love to hear what you would endorse if you had the chance?
